i saw this movie last night. I've waited to see this movie a while.

Four Characters: Vincent(John Travolta), Jules(Samuel L. Jackson), Mia(Uma Thurman)and Butch(Bruce Willis) are all tied together by one man: Marcellus Wallace(Ving Rhames). this movie explores their subplots in three stages.

Blade runner

i saw this yesterday. i was trying out the the new netflix thing where you can watch movies online for free.

Rick Deckard(Harrison Ford) lives in a world of Cyborgs, called replicants. the replicants are to be hunted down and shot down on sight if they disappear by a unit called the "Blade runners", which is where he used to work.

7 out of 10. You would expect for there to be a controversy, but there were none. the story literally had no climax.

HOLIDAY CHEER!

its that time of year again. the time of year where all of he ads for Christmas come when it isn't even close to Christmastime. Thankfully, i am here.

To get in the holiday spirit, try something that isn't watching holiday movies, tempting as that may sound. the truth is, most of these movies suck. i am also speaking about Christmas specials.

Star Trek(2009)

I finished watching this movie today. happy thanksgiving to y'all.

This chronicles the first voyage of the Enterprise and it's crew. Captain Kirk(Chris Pine), Spock(Zachary Quinto), Uhura(Zoe Saldana), Dr. Leonard McCoy, a.k.a "Bones", Scotty(Simon Pegg), Sulu(John Cho) and Chekhov(Anton Yelchin).

A British man who was rejected for his role in the british fencing championship turns to crime. When the authorities move in he goes to hide out as a fencing coach for a girls school.

Monk/Survivor Recap

Monk: Captain Stottlemeyer proposes to T.K., and she accepts. Shortly after he names monk as the best man, and he accepts. Just after this, They find a dead body that was shot and burned. From here, i will give no spoilers,.

Survivor: Big play. Russel finds the hidden immunity idol without a clue for a second time. No one even suspected it. Laura won immunity(Which i thought was annoying), but everyone but Shambo And the old Foa Foa voted for Russel. Russel played the hidden immunity idol and Kelly is sent home.

People who were wierd

There are many actors who are awesome, but are not appreciated by moviegoers. there are many of these people. This, doesn't apply only to actors. Directors, Singers, Rappers and other people have this same problem. Sometimes, these people take drastic measures to make themselves known. Even if this means selling themselves out, Having drastic weight-loss or writing a song about fireflies that makes it sound like you are on crack.

Ultimate premise for movie #1

here is an awesome idea for a movie.

Make an Improvised horror movie. That would be the most awesome thing ever. We have seen many improvised movies(A mighty wind, Waiting for Guffman, etc.)but no improvised horror. The only problem would be getting the actors to be good improv actors. Maybe we could get stage actors to do it. They no how to do that. They are better actors than some regular ones anyway.

i saw this movie last night on netflix. Halloween is drawing closer.

An overweight Man is signed up for a bad reality TV show by his friend, who believes him to be a genius. Surprisingly enough, He wins. He gets to stay at an awesome hotel with a Japanese servant. But all is about to go wrong..........

This movie decided to take the district 9 path. Part Mockumentary/Part Story.

7 out of 10. depressing, but the cast was well casted.

The Terminal

I finished watching this movie about an hour ago.

An Immigrant(Tom Hanks) arrives at an airport in New York to go to a Ramada inn. There is only one problem: The country he comes from Has just been Captured and is under a new Government, meaning he cannot enter the U.S. but he can't go home. He is then forced to live in the terminal of the Airport.

8 out of 10. I loved the ending. It wasn't Cliche.

i saw this movie the other day.

Bruce Nolan(Jim Carrey) has a blownage life: A job at a news station with a jerk(Steve Carrell) who is stealing his glory, A dog who will only pee inside, A troubled relationship with his girlfriend(Jennifer Aniston) and a lack of faith. After he is fired from his job, He yells at god. Then things get a little weird: God(Morgan Freeman) decides he will take a vacation and give Bruce all of his powers, as well as responsibilities.

i saw this movie a couple of days ago.

A terrified teenager is one of the few people left alive in a land where zombies took over the world. In his travels he finds company in the form of A twinkie obsessed killing machine(Woody Harrelson), A conniving teenager(Emma Stone) and her sister(Abigail Breslin).

9.5 out of 10. Hilarious AND gory

Dave Chappelle: Killin' them softly

i saw this the same night i watched ghost dog. it was a bit dated.

Stand-up extraordinaire Dave Chappelle works his magic on Washington D.C. and nothing is out of the question: Bill Clinton, George Bush, His White friend Chip, the police, racism, Projects and, my personal favorite, Sesame street.

Ghost Dog: The way of the Samurai

I saw this movie last night. I made pizza. It was good.

Ghost Dog(Forest Whitaker) is a samurai contract killer who likes poetry and is the assistant to a mafia member. He communicates only Via Carrier pigeons, Which he raises on the top of his building. but after the head of the mafia wants him dead, He must pull out all the stops to keep himself alive.

8 out of 10. there was A sum of Symbolism i didn't completely understand until the end.

the grizzly Man

i saw this movie on Netflix a while ago. it is a weird movie.

Outdoors-person Timothy Treadwell Videotapes a trip into the wild to help save grizzly bears from threats. He says he will die for his animals. Ironically, He is killed by a bear at the end of his trip. That was not a spoiler, you hear that near the beginning of the movie.

A Military official(Sharito Cropley)who works for an intergalactic affairs society called MNU is sent inside an alien inhabited "District" In Johannesburg Africa, where the residents are disgusted by the alien presence. the official accidentally changes His DNA so that he is slowly turning into an alien.

8.5 for District 9. they continued saying the F-word throughout the film, in English. and in Alien

Raising Arizona

i saw this movie last night. it was pretty good.

H.I.(Nicolas Cage) is an Ex-Con who marries Ed(Holly Hunter) who is an ex-cop. they are extremely happy with there marriage until they found out they couldn't have children. So, they hatch a plan to steal one of the quintuplets of Nathan Arizona, a successful non painted furniture seller.

i watched this movie in camp yesterday. we didn't have much to do.

A man with a dog lives alone in their small London apartment until he is Married to a lady with a dog they find on a walk. the dogs, who are both Dalmatians, have 15 puppies. however, the puppies are taken by a villainous old woman who wants to turn them into a coat.

8 1/2 for 101. it was too short to get any higher.

Zoolander

i just finished watching this movie. courtesy of Netflix, of course.

Fashion model Derek Zoolander(Ben Stiller) goes into retirement after losing a rival fight to a Model by the alias of Hansel(Owen Wilson). after this, he is pulled into a scheme to kill the prime minister of Malaysia by an evil fashion designer(Will Ferrell).

9 and a quarter for Zoolander. it was hilarious.

Two men(Sean William Scott And Paul Rudd) who are supposed to be arrested after crashing an energy drink truck into a school statue, they are instead given 150 service hours that will be spent at a place that brings together adults and children. at first they hate it, but then they grow bonds with their assigned children. however, they might get tossed into jail by the leader of the industry(Jane Lynch)

Harry potter and the half blood prince

i saw this movie in theaters yesterday. i should have seen public enemies instead.

Harry Potter(Daniel Radcliffe) is at his sixth year at Hogwarts school And he has a new set of things to learn and destroy. he continues the fight against the dark lord. Pretty much nothing you haven't already seen in his previous movies.

5 out of 10. it was Charlie and the chocolate factory all over again.

Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian:

They have a lot of interesting characters in this movie (Darth Vader, Oscar the Grouch, etc.). They go into dangerous situations and battle. However, no one gets hurt. I think the movie is a very good movie but tell your kids not to try it at home or at the museum.

Pink Panther 2:

Inspector Cloussieu does a lot of funny stuff! He fell off a building and accidently opened a horse shed. He says funny stuff in a funny way. Jojoba. He looked like a doofus around the people who acted normal but he solved the case. This movie was so funny that it made me, my brother, and my sister laugh. I recommend this movie but make sureto warn your kids not to try this at home.

Night at the Museum:

I've seen this movie 5 times. It is about a museum that comes to life. The night guard finds out about it. There are funny monkeys. I liked the way the different civilizations interacted. I think the movie should be rated PG because kids might peepee on people.

i saw this movie last night, i loved it.

Officer K(Tommy Lee Jones), a worker of a Secret Society that monitors Alien activity. after his intern leaves, he chooses A new one: Agent J(Will Smith). after an alien bug lands on earth, they are sent To Get rid of it.

10 out of 10. it was absolutely wonderful.

i saw this movie on netflix a while ao. it was really really funny.

Two convicts who escape from the cop car that is transporting them and steal an RV and take over the position of the two men who owned it before. there is just a catch: the previous owners of the RV| are gay pageant directors on there way to small town Texas.
10 and a 1/2 out of 11. i just had to give it higher than a ten.

1: Will smith in "Independence day": Funny. he was doing all these different funny thing that still worked.
2: Steve Martin in "Baby Mama": people did not talk about his performance in this movie much but he was very funny. kinda Creepy, but funny.
3: Steve Carell in "Little miss Sunshine": Very funny and very sarcastic. he didn't win an Oscar, but he won over our hearts.
4: Will Ferrell in "Blades of Glory": he was just so disgusting, weird and funny at the same time. that is a tall order.
5: Chris Tucker in "Rush hour 3":| He was very funny playing a cop who was rejected by his piers and put with a strict Asian dude.

Dogma

i liked this movie. i found it with the Other VHS videos at my house.

Two renegade Angels (Matt Damon & Ben Affleck) find a loophole into heaven by breaking a certain decree that could put the whole existence in jeopardy. now, it is up to an abortion clinic worker, Two sex obsessed prophets(Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith} the 13th apostle(Chris Rock) and a Muse(Salma Hayek) to save the world.

7 out of 10. funny, but very violent.

i saw this movie on TV a couple of days ago.

Hokie(Morgan Freeman) has been hired by a son(Dan Akroyd) to drive around his cranky, racist and control freak of a mother. however, along the path they learn new things about each other.

3: New york city: Any much any movie about the city is there. See Muppets take Manhattan.

4: Ohio: The ultimate country movie spot. Ranches, cattle, Good old home cooking and Llamas. See Napoleon Dynamite.

i got this movie as a birthday present. My family hates it, but it's just so Funny!

Napoleon(Jon Heder) is a teenager from small town Ohio who has some very peculiar circumstances: He has a pet Llama, a best friend named Pedro, and skills that cannot be topped. he tries to help his friend win the award of class president.

The Spirit/Up

The spirit i saw last night on Netflix. I just got back from seeing up.

The Spirit: Denny Colt(Gabriel Macht) died but was mysteriously brought back to life to Question his resurrection and Eventually fight off the Octopus(Samuel L. Jackson) and his crew of henchmen.

7 out of 10. a guilty pleasure, but with flaws.

Up: Carl Frederickson(Ed Asner) decides to tie a good 3,000 balloons to the top of his house and set off for Paradise falls. The trouble is he picks up an undesired stowaway who throws a gear in the mix.

Despite its hipe, this movie was not the movie it was all set up to be. It was Depressing, which the critics diguised with the word "Heartwarming". I| think i will vomit.

6 out of 10. Doug the talking dog saved the movie.

1: The young visitors: Depressing. boring. if movies had laws of taste, this would be probably the most wanted outlaw.
2: The tale of Desperaux: I guess the story was OK, but all the rest sucked.
3: X-men 3: It was only good the first time around. otherwise, the movie lacked plot.
4: Failure to launch: It would be typical for Matthew to star in a movie like this.
5: LOTR: The two towers: Bad.

Slumdog Millionaire

My mom ordered us this instant classic on netflix.

Jamal(Dev Patel) is a Slumdog "Chai water" server from Mumbai who wins who wants to be a Millionaire, is accused of cheating and is rapidly tortured for answers. he didn' t cheat: He new all the answers from life experience which are shown in rapid flashbacks.

9 out of 10. it was very good, but very sad.

My top 5 TV series

1:House(Fox): Brilliant. Sarcastic. Dramatic. Humorous. all the ingredients to an Emmy winner.
2: Survivor(CBS): incredibly Psychological. it will always keep you guessing.
3: Project Runway(Bravo): really surprising and funny. sometimes over-the-top and full of crazy people.
4: Monk(USA): It is like house with detectives. very very good.
5: What i learned from the movies(Reelzchannel: 30 minutes of hilarious comedy and life lessons learned from movies.

1: Happy Texas: really good. it didn't get much buzz but was refreshing and satisfying.
2: Little Ms. Sunshine: Very good. it deserved every Oscar award and nomination it got.
3: Mad Money: very good movie. critics didn't like it much though.
4: A Mighty Wind: It was by far the best Christopher Guest movie i have ever seen. really.
5: Get Smart: this was an exceptionally good movie. i watched it several times and loved it every time.

Rush hour 3

I saw this movie on demand at my grandparents house.

Carter(Chris Tucker) and Lee(Jackie Chan) are on the case of a group of hitmen who operate in Paris. Lee discovers that one of the members of the group is his brother Kenji, and has to face him down in the end.

i just saw it this morning.

in this documentary you get to see a full-scale audition process for the Broadway musical "a Chorus line". it also shows the history of the show and how it began.

Calamity jane

i saw this movie just now on netflix. Netflix is awesome. i hope it teams up with Hulu to take over the world.

Calamity(Doris Day) is a special delivery woman in the Midwest who is quick on the trigger. One day she is asked to transport a singer to the small town to sing. the singer is not there so the underloved maid takes her place. she goes back to the city and wins over the heart of pretty much every man there.

6 1/2 for calam. the movie was a catastrophe.

1: Aaron Eckhart in the dark knight-Intense. he was mildly underrated because of heath ledger, but is one true must see in the movie.
2: Judi Dench in Casino royale-Blew my mind.She was so good she was all i could think about during the movie. Too bad Quantum of solace made her look like a villain.
3: Heath Ledger in the dark knight-Of course. He was the icing on the cake in that movie as the Deranged serial killer. a good farewell performance.
4: Alan Rickman in Sweeney Todd-Incredible. He is all my mom ever talks about and plays villains in the most oscar-worthy way.
5: Steve Carell in Little Ms sunshine-That was one of the most hilarious roles i have ever seen him in. He deserved the oscar for best supporting actor. it was given to Alan Arkin, who was also in the movie.

stripes

got this movie at a thrift store. one of the best movies i have ever seen.

in this movie, Bill Murray plays an average man who has lost pretty much everything and decides to join the army. he also learns several life lessons and risks everything when he steals an armored car to take his friend and some MP's to the mountains.

X-men origins: wolverine

i saw this movie on the big screen: pretty much one of the only good ways to see an action movie.

this movie is how about how wolverine(Hugh Jackman} came to being, involving a rivalry with his brother Victor Creed(Liev Schrieber), who will later be known as Sabertooth. it a;so shows flashes of other mutants and X-men characters.

5/10.it was okay.

teenager Marty Mcfly(Michael J. fox) is living in the year 1985. his life is completely normal until his friend(Christopher Lloyd) sends him back in time to 1955 where must race against time to get back before his family ultimately becomes nonexistent and, after a certain amount of time,him.

7 out of 10. i was kinda nervous near the end.

1-the illusionist: the biggest disappointment i have ever had. IT WAS SO DULL!
2-the wiz: the stage version was much better. the story was OK, but it was rather disagreeable.
3-the incredible hulk. WHAT ON EARTH!
4-Iron Man: not good. I absolutely disliked it.
5-Troy: sooooooooooooooooooo long and boring.

the rocky horror picture show

i saw this movie and had an almost immediate respect for old movies. it was incredible.

Brad and Janet are a sweet couple happily in love when they go out to see a friend and have a flat tire. reluctantly they go over to a castle, the closest building they can find and are thrust into a pandemonium when they find the house is owned bye a crazy transvestite scientist(Tim curry).

war of the worlds

another movie i watched from the many movies i watched over spring break.

in this movie a construction worker(Tom Cruise) finds himself in danger after an asteroid lands on earth and martians come upon the earth and begin to kill all. having the only working car he sets off in search of shelter.

i got this movie from Netflix and rented it twice because it was hilarious.

In this taped live performance, three men(all of them modern day Shakespeare devotees) take the liberty of doing all of Shakespeare's great works abridged in this 90 minute spectacle.

i saw this movie on DVD when my cousin brought it over.


Hancock(Will Smith) is an under admired superhero who finds refuge with a family of a business promoter(Ryan Reynolds) and his wife(Charlize Theron) who help him get back on track. but when he finds out that the wife have similar traits to him, he begins to ponder his existence.

7 out of 10. Pretty good.

I, Robot

i got to see this movie in the treasure trove of movies i borrowed from my cousin while he was here.

Detective Del Spooner(Will Smith) sets off to inspect a large robot Distribution company after the death of the product designer and begins to believe that even with a seemingly full-proof set of laws that the robots are on the verge of world takeover.

8 out of 10. Very good.

I am Legend

i just saw this movie on Netflix and i loved it to pieces. it was Great.

In post-apocalypse New york where Robert Neville(Will Smith) is the last human alive in a city inhabited by Zombies. He only has his Dog to remind him of his old family and when he gets Visitors, he realizes he might not be alone........

9 1/2 out of 10. incredible.

Van Helsing

i got to see this movie because my cousin brought over a whole slew of DVDs and T|his one stood out the most.

Van Helsing(Hugh Jackman) Is sent to Transylvania to find and destroy Dracula with the help of certain of the village members who were terrorized by the monsters in the area. This movie includes appearances Mr. Hyde, The wolf man and Frankenstein's Monster.

8 and 1/2 for van Helsing. Very good.

X-men 3: The last stand

i saw this movie once at a friend"s house and once at my cousin's house.

The mutants(Patrick Stewart, Halle Barry, Hugh Jackman, Ian Mckellen ETC) are mourning the death of mutant Jean Grey. that Is until they find out she came back to life. But now she is different. And it is not for the better that the humans have created a mutant Antibody that can cure the Mutants.

5 out of 10. It was not good.

Twilight (2008)

i liked the movie but i didn't really see what all the hype was about.

Bella(Kristen Stewart) moves from Arizona to a small town in Washington state where she meets Edward(Robert Pattinson). she eventually falls in love with and discovers that Edward is a vampire.

8 out of 10. The makeup and visual effects were terrible.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! What was this?!??! This was terrible!

Christopher guest returned for another mockumentary this time about a film crew of different proportions: A veteran actor(Harry Shearer), A famous classic actress(Catherine O'Hara), A young actress(Parker Posey), and A flipping out director(Christopher Guest). Also in the cast are Jennifer Coolidge, Michael McKean and many more.

2 out of 10. i am disgusted.

Sweeney Todd

i saw the play first(yes, there is a play)and then saw this movie. It was disappointing because the play did things unfit for the film.

In this Movie-Musical, Benjamin Barker(Johnny Depp) returns to England after he was framed and sent off in order of the remarrying of his Wife. He gets a new identity and sets off for his new revenge involving A Pie shop Owner(Helena Bonham Carter), meat and a barbershop.

6 out of 10. The play was way better.

Dreamgirls

i saw this movie once it came out on DVD courtesy of Netflix.

This movie is about the rise of a 60s singing group called the dreams and there rise to fame. Starring American Idol finalist Jennifer Hudson, Jamie Foxx, and Eddie Murphy.

9 out of 10. It was pretty good.

The matrix(I saw it again!)

after i saw the matrix for the first time, i wanted to see it again if it was the last thing i ever did. Well i saw it again. And i feel differently about it.

A computer hacker named Neo(Keanu Reeves) meets a woman named Trinity(Carrie Ann Moss), he starts to question his reality and meets Morpheus(Lawrence Fishbourne). Then he realizes that reality is not real as some may think........

When you watch a movie for the second time, You care more about all of the small things. I did. This movie has so many details you could get lost in side them.

7 out of 10. Not as thrilling as i remembered.

Kiki's delivery service

i used to like this movie but i highly dislike it now.

This shows the travel and settling in of a young which who comes of age and left home to join the rest of the world.

Life stinks

this Mel brooks movie is half+Half as far as quality.

in this movie an unsympathetic billionaire(Mel Brooks) takes a bet to live on the streets for 30 days.During this he meets friends he would have never made otherwise and learns the true values of life.

6 out of 10. The musicals of Mel brooks are better.

Lord of the rings: The two towers

this one used to be my favorite. I would only watch this one when it came out on DVD.

Frodo(Elijah Wood) and Sam(Sean Astin) continue there trek to Mordor to destroy the ring. Meanwhile, Gimli(John Rhys-Davies), Legolas(Orlando bloom) and Strider(Viggo Mortenson) go to Rohan to find that the king is being controlled. Pippin(Billy Boyd) and Merrie(Dominic Monoghan) escape the orcs.

The young visitors

there were very few good parts in this movie. The rest were either Boring,Cruel or depressing.

A man(Jim Broadbent) Escorts a young lady to meet a lord(Hugh Laurie) at his palace. Upon arriving he finds that he lacks proper etiquette skills and goes to a etiquette school.

3 out of 10. Not good for most of the movie.

Lord of te rings 1

my personal favorite of the trilogy of movies directed by Peter Jackson. True, the third movie won the Oscar for Best Flick and the second Movie might have been more graphic but i have a thing for original movies in trilogies and such.

Set in a place called the Shire, A boy Hobbit named Frodo Baggins(Elijah Wood)Is thrust out into the rest of the world when he comes across a ring that holds dark mythical powers.

Young frankenstein

this movie was downright hilarious however you put it. This was yet another reason why Mel brooks should go down in History. Blazing saddles was really funny two, But this was much less racist.

This movie shows the struggles of Friedrich Frankenstein(Gene Wilder), the grandson of the mad scientist who is sent from America to Transylvania after his grandfather died. He then creates his new monster with Help of Igor(Marty Feldman) And Inga(Teri Garr). Peter Boyle and Madeline Khan co-star.

9.5 for young frankenstein. Quite hilarious.

Hero

i saw this movie almost completely on accident. I saw it because my sister had to watch it for some school project.I am glad she did.

This movie takes place in China when a man(Jet Li) saves the king from being killed by an assassin. The king requests the mans Presence and asks him about things involving the attack, the origin of the Assassin and the origin of the man himself.

9 out of 10. Really great movie.

Holes

i guess this movie was OKAY. It just seemed kind of weird. It had all these common celebrities in it that i had almost no knowledge at all about.

Mild mannered Stanley Yelnats(Shia Labouf)is sent a camp in the middle of nowhere after being accused of stealing a pair of shoes. The camp is Completely Dry although there was once a lake. And a city. At the camp they are forced to dig holes looking for something in particular. Something huge that ties int o Stanley's Past........

Did you know the black dude from the TV show Psych is in this movie? I sure didn't.

i saw this movie Yesterday and i have to say that it was not what i Expected. NOT WHAT I EXPECTED AT ALL.

In this movie a For-Real British Magician called Eisenheim(Edward Norton) is reunited with his Love interest(Jessica Biel). However, Due to there Social network, She is engaged to another Man(Rufus Sewell) who is having the Chief of police(Paul Giamatti) Investigate The magician.

7 out of 10. THE MIDDLE OF THE MOVIE WAS SO DULL.

The mummy: Tomb of the dragon Emporer

sorry i never got around to the Illusionist. A friend brought this DVD over so i won't be able to do the Illusionist today.

This movie is about a bumbling Archeologist(Brendan Fraser) Who Accidentally unleashes an ancient Mummy king(Jet Li) who attempts World domination. The man is assisted by his wife, His son, a girl his son met and His Brother-in-law.

9 out of 10. much better than i expected. Brendan Fraser was a bit slow but was OK. full with action. Good for kids 9 and up.

indiana Jones and the last crusade

This is my favorite of all of the entire Saga. It had all the characters you loved and Loved to hate from previous movies and new characters who are new and just as good.

In this movie, Dr Jones(Harrison Ford)goes out to rescue his father(Sean Connery) from the Nazis who are searching for the Holy grail that gives the drinker Eternal life. In a flashback it also shows the reason for Indie's fear of snakes.

9 out of 10 for the saga's third part.

Batman (1989)

this was the first successful Batman Movie. I got it from netflix and i liked it a lot.

In this movie batman(Michael Keaton) sets out to fight the Joker(Jack Nicholson), a Maniacal Psychopath that sets out to take over Gotham city.

This movie was the Grandaddy of Batman movies and is good, but it doesn't compare to the Dark knight. 7 out of 10.

Sunday: The Illusionist.

Bride and Prejudice

i love this movie because it was very colorful but there was one thing that did not help. The names of the people changed dramatically from the original Pride and prejudice to this film.

Set in India, bride and prejudice is about he bakshi family whom are soon intertwined with famous Americans when the Americans come to India for a wedding. after which the men fall in love with the daughters, who are reluctant.

9 out of 10. I explained why it didn't get 10 in the first paragraph.

1 get smart: This movie rocks and i love it. Its got everything. Humor, Action, romance and Steve Carell!

2 A mighty wind: Great movie! You are gonna watch it over and over and over and over until you realize that you have get smart on your shelf of DVD s.

3: The dark knight: Great movie with lots of action. Nominated for several oscars including best supporting actor, the late heath Ledger.

4: Batman begins: Watch before the dark knight! It is so good you will have to go to Gotham to find a better series starter.

5: Monty python and the quest for the holy grail: A comedy classic from Britain you will never forget!

chicken run

i saw this movie a while ago, saw it again and appreciated it much more.(The exact opposite reaction with "Quantum of Solace")

This movie is about the chickens on a farm run by a woman and her bumbling Husband and/or brother. The chickens know they are on the chopping block and start creating escapes. All hope seems to be lost until they meet a flying rooster who might be the answer to their prayers.

Coraline

i just got back from seeing it. It was a very good movie. It had its dull moments though.

Based on bestseller Neil Gaimans novel, this movie is about a girl who moves into her new apartment with her plant obsessed and self obsessed parents when she discovers a tunnel to an alternate world where everything seems perfect until she makes a shocking discovery.

7 out of 10. Memorable appearances by Dawn french and Jennifer Saunders make film good. Appearance by Teri hatcher makes film as nightmare like as the book.

Troy

i was watching this movie in class as preparation for a play we were going to do(We never got to it because it was 31 pages and counting).

This movie is about the Trojan war, a war in which a man steals a woman from her husband and brings her Troy, a city which is modern day Turkey, and tries to marry her. Of course, the husband starts a war and brings Greek soldiers to the city of Troy.

9 out of 10. Very gruesome and vulgar.

Legally blonde

i decided to watch this movie before i saw the play(Which was filmed live, Courtesy of MTV) and i really liked.

A sorority queen(Reese Witherspoon) takes the ultimate challenge after her boyfriend dumps her and runs off to Harvard law school: Get into Harvard and win her love back. It is seen as a challenge due to a new Girlfriend, "Mean" teachers and getting sidetracked by her beginning talent at law.

9 out of 10. very good indeed.

my neighbors the yamadas

i rented this movie recently from netflix. it was very good and also very funny. An original family film without the cornstarch Disney sloppiness.

This movie is set in china and shows the corky and unstable Yamada family and shows there misadventures in the form of a line of episode reminiscent chapters.

9 and a 1/2 for the yamadas. I did not really like the animation.

The league of extraordinary gentlemen

i got this movie from my grampa. He had it and did not really want it so he gave it us.

This movie takes place in several places such as Venice, Kenya, Britain and The arctic. it follows adventurer Allan Quartermain(Sean Connery) as he leads a group of talented individuals from various literature to stop a war machine.

10 out of 10 for the league. Very good show.

A mighty wind

i have this movie on DVD and it is one of three mockumentaries that i have. The other two are "Best in show" and "Waiting for Guffman", both of which i gave good reviews. but i never did this one.

Following the death of a folk music icon, a memorial concert is put on in honor of the icon and the groups he started up. groups include the main street singers, the folks men and Mitch and Mickey.

10 out of 10 for a mighty wind.

Paul Blart: Mall cop

I just came back from watching this movie in theaters with my family.

This movie is about a Mild-mannered cop(Kevin James) who has to fight of Criminals in the mall he works as a security guard.

7 out of 10 for "Mall cop". Physical dialogue was hilarious. Written dialogue, not so much.

Waiting for Guffman

this is another Mockumentory made into a wonderful piece similar to BEST IN SHOW.

this movie is about a small town, Blaine Missouri, having its annual pantomime, Directed by Corky st. Claire(Christopher guest) and a group of citizens from the town who are taking part in the play.

9 out of 10. Mild language is often but also stimulates the movie.

Blades of Glory

i loved this movie! It was bizarre and hilarious.

This movie is about two burnt out single skaters(John heder and Will Farrel) who do a double skate act to get back on track. In there way is another team, old rivalries and love.

8 out of 10. some things were just a bit too much.

Mad hot ballroom

i didn't see this movie until i saw my sister watching. It looked interesting, so i immediately Engaged.

This movie is a documentary about a Ballroom dancing Competition in New york that is set for fifth graders in schools that are in P.S. 115, 112 and 150.

9 out of 10 for mad hot ballroom. It was a feast for the eyes.

Best in show

i have had this mockumentary on my shelf for a few years. It is a very good movie.

This movie is about Extreme dog lovers who enter there prize pooches in a large Dog show. This movie has the talents of Eugene Levy, Parker Posy, Christopher Guest and many more.

10 out of 10. this is one movie worth seeing.

The Producers(2007) and the producers(197?)

both of these movies i rented from The king of movie rentals, netflix. Both movies were grotesquely funny in there own little way.

The movies are about a washed-up Playwright(Nathan lane And Zero Mostel) who teams up with an accountant(Matthew Broderick and gene wilder) who come up with the perfect scheme: Make the worst Broadway show ever known and make off with the $800,000 profits. But as you know nothing goes according to plan.

they both get 7 stars because both had there own unique touch.

Lemony snicket's a series of unfortunate events

i saw this movie a few years ago in theaters. It was actually good then but now i look back at it as if it was one of the worst movies i have ever seen.

This movie is based on the famous series of books in which three orphans are put in the care of there deeply Psychotic Guardian (Jim Carrey).

2 out of 10 for this movie. I wish i could go back in time and stop myself from seeing this terrible movie.

The Matrix

i saw this movie on DVD and look forward to possibly seeing it again another day.

This movie surrounds Neo(Keanu Reeves) a computer hacker who, After meeting a group of Individuals led by Morpheus(Lawrence Fishbourne), he realizes that the whole existence is just a blindness from the truth that involves Aliens and time.

8 out of 10 for the matrix. It got kind of confusing. But who is not confused after seeing the matrix?

Galaxy Quest

i mentioned this particular movie in the list of my top 5 dvds. It was also a great movie.

This movie tests a group of actors who starred in a famous 70's Sci Fi TV show. The actors find themselves in outer space after a group of aliens mistake them for actual space people and take them to help save their race from an evil force

9 out of 10 for the crew of the N.S.E. Protector.

the other day the nominations for the Academy awards for this year were in. I am going to be showing the nominees right here.

Best Picture: The Reader, Slumdog Millionaire, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Milk, Frost/Nixon.
What i think will win: I would say that it would be Milk, Frost/Nixon or Slumdog Millionaire.

What i want to Win: Milk or Slumdog Millionaire because it is the year of hope which is well expressed in both movies.

The dark crystal

this is one of Jim Henson's older movies but is way up there with the rest of them and is one of my more favored Jim Henson movies.

This movie shows an ancient rivalry between two races: The Skeksies and another group that has Been involved with a special Crystal that has been cracked and only when the last shard is returned, the two races will always be at war.

8 out of 10 for this Jim Henson movie.

The incredible Hulk

i saw this in Philadelphia with my grandparents over summer.

Based on the marvel comic series, Bruce Banner(Edward Norton) is controlled by a gamma virus that turns him into a monster on the run from the government.

This movie was a large improvement from 2003's Frighteningly horrible "Hulk".

7 out of 10 for Bruce B(As suppose to Bruce W).

Iron Man

i saw this movie multiple times and felt things i didn't feel the time before.

This movie revolves around Playboy billionaire/Weapons manufacturer Tony Stark(Robert Downey Jr) who is turned to a superhero after he makes a titanium Warsuit while being kept captive by Vietnamese people.

5 out of 10 for iron man. I was really disappointed after the second time.

Get Smart

i saw this movie just recently at my friend's birthday party. Everyone loved this movie.

Get smart revolves around the 1960's TV show of of the same name. It follows an agent named Maxwell Smart(Steve Carell) and his attempts to take on an evil organization called "Kaos".

10 out of 10 because it was absolutely perfect.

WALL E

i finished watching the movie this morning. This is definitely one of pixar's better films.

This movie surrounds WALL E(Ben Burts) a trash compacting robot left on earth to clean up 75 years worth of garbage.

9 out of 10 WALL E and all other robots working on the Omaxis.

this movie centers around the life of big tobacco lobbyist Nick Naylor(Aaron Eckhart) and the overall lobbying business without making it a boring corporate movie.

9 out of 10 for big tobacco lobbyist Aaron Eckhart.

Valkyrie

i saw this movie earlier today and i was pleased i had. The wind was cold and the theater was crowded and there were no parking spaces, but it was worth it.

This movie goes back in time to the 2nd world war surrounding an assasination atempt on Adolf Hitler by a German colonel(tom cruise) and another group of individuals fighting against Hitler's Germany.

7 out of 10. Tom cruise's obsession with his detached eyeball and his awkward american accent ruined the movie, but it was still worth a taste.

Batman Begins

i saw this movie about 3 Days before seeing "the dark Knight" in theaters. I wanted to see batman begins 1st because i thought it would help me understand the dark knight better.

The movie centers around Bruce Wayne(Christian Bale) and his becoming of the caped crusader and dealing with villains such as Jonathan Crane(Cillian Murphy) and Ra's al ghul(Ken Watanabe).

9 out of 10 for batman begins. There is no doubt that it almost kept the pace up with its sequal.

Rent

i saw this movie when it came out on DVD and was thoroughly Impressed.

This movie takes on Bohemian New york and some of the familiar faces, such as Roger(Adam pascal), Mark(Anthony Rapp) and Collins(Jesse L martin).

8 out of 10 for rent. Go see it NOW!!!!!!!!

Princess Caraboo

i rented this movie from Netflix(which i totally recommend to people who don't like trekking all the way to blockbuster).

The movie takes place in Britain where a couple finds a foreign woman who they believe to be a princess.They take advantage of this by showing her off to public when a journalist and a butler(Kevin Kline)get suspicious.

8 out of 10 for princess caraboo.

star wars IV

i owned this movie on VHS for a long time. Ever since i can remember i spent my days watching star wars over and over and over and over and over and over again.in other words, i was a star wars geek by the age of 5.

This movie is set on a remote planet called Tatooine, which is where a man named Luke Skywalker lives. He then comes across the Jedi named Obi-wan Kenobi.

this movie spawned the uprising of Science fiction movies. more and more were appearing everywhere.

7 out of 10 for episode IV.

Howl's moving Castle

i own this movie on DVD. It is usually so that Hayao Miyazaki Films are good but this By far the best of them all.

Howl's moving Castle is the story of Sophie, A girl who is changed into an old lady by a witch after falling for a mysterious Wizard named Howl(Christian Bale) and moves into the countryside and ends up boarding howl's castle that walks.Billy Crystal co-stars.

9 out of 10 for Howl and Sophie. It would have been better if it had more recognizable actors then just Mr crystal and Mr Bale.

i know that this might seem odd because it came out in july but i do not really care.

This movie starts after batman begins ends. Batman(christian bale) is up against a new villain called the joker(Heath ledger), While trying to maintain his relationship with his girlfriend(Maggie Ghyllanhal) Who he is slowly losing to district attorney Harvey Dent(Aaron Eckhart).

This movie was undoubtedly one of the top 10 movies of the year and has buzz on Oscars this season.

i saw this movie for two times and only liked one of those two times. I payed more attention the second time around and hated it for the entire movie.

in this movie, Gun slinging MI6 agent James Bond(Daniel Craig) seeks revenge for his girlfriends death by a ruthless corporation trying to get hold of Bolivia's water supply.

this movie is a 1-time only movie with absolutely no cool gadgets the other bond movies had.

The tale of desperaux

i went to this movie with my family on Christmas day in South Carolina. I wanted to see "Valkyrie" but i was outnumbered in votes so instead we saw this.

The movie takes place in a french city called Door and follows desperaux(voiced by Matthew Broderick) a mouse who eventually falls for a human princess(Emma watson) and is banished from where he lives with his family and cast in to the sewer(A.K.A "the dungeon")

this movie was not as good as i hoped and was certainly not fitting the standards of my other family.

**** out of ********** for this adventurous little mouse. I really would have rather seen Valkyrie even if they fail.
