i guess this movie was OKAY. It just seemed kind of weird. It had all these common celebrities in it that i had almost no knowledge at all about.
Mild mannered Stanley Yelnats(Shia Labouf)is sent a camp in the middle of nowhere after being accused of stealing a pair of shoes. The camp is Completely Dry although there was once a lake. And a city. At the camp they are forced to dig holes looking for something in particular. Something huge that ties int o Stanley's Past........
Did you know the black dude from the TV show Psych is in this movie? I sure didn't.

4/10 I thought this movie was boring and confusing. It neither followed the interesting and necessary details of the book nor made up a plausible new set.
ReplyDeleteShia LaBeauf was earnest. That's not always a good thing. The characters in the book, even the evil ones, were more sympathetic. I thought the flashbacks were gooey.
It wasn't my favorite book either but it was better than the sequel.
